Angelus Student Film Festival to screen and award winning and honorable mention films at 13th annual event Sept. 13 at DGA, Hollywood

Free tickets can be ordered onlineHOLLYWOOD – The 13th annual Angelus Student Film Festival will present its 2008 winners, honorable mentions and 22 finalists with more than $50,000 in cash awards and industry prizes at its screening and awards ceremony, Saturday, September 13, 6 p.m., at the Directors Guild of America, 7920 W. Sunset Blvd, Hollywood, Calif.
The event, to be emceed by Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist & TV host Chris Balish, honors and showcases future filmmakers as they explore and create works that respect the dignity of the human person. The winning and honorable mention films will be screened during afternoon (2:30 p.m.) and evening screenings with a wine-and-cheese reception held between the screenings. Free tickets to the evening event can be ordered online at www.angelus.org or by calling 1-800-874-0999, Ext. 200. Tickets are not needed for the afternoon screenings.
The 22 finalists, and thus the seven winners and four honorable mentions, were selected from over 470 submissions representing 132 film schools and 22 countries, including the United States, Iceland, Germany, Bulgaria and Egypt.
